Author Fees & Waivers Policy

The Indian Journal of Climate & Environmental Studies (IJCEMS) is a non-profit, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to promoting scientific knowledge without financial barriers. In line with our commitment to academic equity and accessibility, the journal does not charge any fees for manuscript submission, review, publication, or access.

1. No Submission Fees

Authors are not required to pay any submission charges.
All manuscripts can be submitted directly to the journal via email at:

Once received, authors will be issued a Tracking Code / Paper ID within 3 working days of submission. This ID must be quoted in all subsequent communications and email subject lines regarding the manuscript.

2. No Article Processing or Publication Charges (APCs)

IJCEMS operates on a no-APC (Article Processing Charge) model.
There are no fees for:

• Editorial handling
  
  

• Peer review
  
  

• Acceptance or rejection
  
  

• Copyediting, formatting, or publication
  
  

• DOI assignment (when applicable)
  
  

• Online hosting and long-term archiving
  
  

Our commitment ensures that publication quality is never influenced by authors’ financial capacity.

3. No Subscription or Access Fees

All published articles are freely and immediately available to readers worldwide.
Readers, institutions, and libraries may:

• Read, download, copy, distribute, print, and link to full texts.
  
  

• Use articles for lawful scholarly and educational purposes.
  
  

No user accounts, passwords, or paywalls are required.

4. Funding & Support

IJCEMS is supported by the Office of Academic Affairs, Nirmaya Foundation, which provides the necessary administrative and technical infrastructure to sustain operations.
This support allows us to:

• Maintain a fee-free publication model,
  
  

• Uphold ethical editorial standards, and
  
  

• Ensure open access to research outputs without compromising academic quality.
  
  

5. Waiver Policy

Since IJCEMS does not levy any charges, there is no waiver system required.
All authors — irrespective of their country, institution, or funding status — are treated equally under the journal’s universal free-access policy.

6. Ethical Assurance

By removing financial barriers, IJCEMS ensures that:
